About Hannah's House

The Adoption Program for Casa Teresa, “Hannah’s House,” was created in order to provide women choosing adoption a safe, secure, and loving environment.  We are located in Orange, California and since 1995 women have come to us from all areas and  walks of life to an environment of shared housing, responsibility and support.  We are affiliated with Casa Teresa, a temporary home and on-going support for pregnant women 18 years of age and older.  If you have any questions or would like to receive more information, please call (888) 619-6628.

The decision to place a child for adoption is a deeply personal choice.  Hannah’s House honors the expectant mother’s values and dignity while striving to foster independence.  Residents feel at home with others who share their experience and understand their challenges.  The program is unique; unlike many other maternity homes in Southern California, Hannah’s House addresses the specific physical and emotional needs of birth mothers.  Because the program is not affiliated with any adoption agency or legal practice, the residents are supported in making the healthiest choice for themselves and their infants; free from any pressure or outside influence.

Hannah’s House offers a residential living environment that accommodates six women at a time.  Women are permitted to stay up to two months following the birth, ensuring the birth mother has time to safely process grief that may arise during the adoption process while working closely with the highly-esteemed and highly-experienced, on-staff psychologist.  Hannah’s House provides women with: career and education guidance, perinatal healthcare, individual and group counseling, referrals to adoption service providers and life skills classes.  Hannah’s House provides a viable alternative for single, pregnant women who are making an adoption plan.

Hannah’s House takes confidentiality seriously.
